Oregon Dunes National Park. Open for hiking until snowy plover nesting season - pathways are restricted then. No worries, down the road miles of signs advertise dune buggy adventures. I know which species I'm rooting for....
The beach scenes were gorgeous but you know, I think I prefer the dunes - they are beautiful in an understated way - The temperature rose from 6 degrees in Portland to 11 degrees further down the coast. It was 9 degrees all day today. We are both still wearing Victoria winter layers and enjoy hot tubs at night!
